Watching him like TV

As I sit here watching him nap on our video monitor, I'm glued to it like it's TV. He's so sweet and peaceful when he sleeps. Each day I'm home with Alessio is such a gift. He makes me smile, laugh and love like I never knew possible. I feel so alive.

I decided to start this blog since time is so fleeting. Each day I engage in activities with him and he does small things that are so cute and funny, but as the moment passes and the day takes over those fun moments fade away. I want to be able to document and capture as many of those precious moments as possible. So this is my attempt at holding on to each special moment.

Currently Alessio is fighting his first cold. He most likely got it from me since I'm just getting over a cold. I took him to the doctor today and it's not too bad. His airways are clear so there is nothing to worry about. We just have to let it run its course. Poor little guy :(

Other than that he is as happy as can be.

This morning when he got up at 6:30 for his morning feeding I began feeding him out in the living room, then took a break for a diaper change and put him in bed with Marco while I got myself ready to continue feeding him. When I got back into the room Alessio had rolled onto his side facing Marco and was trying to pull down Marco's shirt to nurse. It was so cute. He is really beginning to understand where his food is and let's us know when he is hungry. He'll pull on my clothes or try to suck my arm. He is growing and learning so quickly. Why can't we just freeze time?
